Kareena Kapoor Khan's little secrets to maintaining a healthy pregnancy glow

Mom-to-be Bollywood actress, Kareena Kapoor Khan has always been the talk of the town for making her pregnancy look so graceful. She'd once mentioned that a woman can look beautiful and sexy even through her pregnancy. And that's exactly what we're going to concentrate on. We tried to dig into what Kareena does to keep her pregnancy glow intact and here are her secrets.

Yoga

Kareena has been showing her love for yoga constantly for a few years now. She stresses on yoga being a part of her soul. Yoga has many mental and physical benefits and its skincare benefits are worth talking about too. When you practice yoga, it widens your blood vessels which leads to increased blood flow to the skin. This in turn leads to more oxygen and nutrients in your skin which leaves you looking brighter. Kareena suggests that inverted postures in yoga help the face a lot. She also believes that any kind of yogic breathing can help the inner being that automatically reflects on the skin. Yogic breathing and meditation prove to reduce stress in the body which decreases inflammation and acne.

DIY face masks

Ever since Kareena has been home, she's made sure to indulge in face masks that nourish her skin without causing any harm during pregnancy. She's a big fan of at-home remedies and likes honey and almond oil. She posted on Instagram about a face mask that was made of sandalwood, vitamin E and turmeric. Turmeric and sandalwood are antiseptics and anti-inflammatory ingredients. They treat dark spots as well as acne. Vitamin E, on the other hand, moisturises the skin and soothes it down.

4/4

A balanced diet

Kareena has always maintained a balanced and focused diet that is full of protein-rich and healthy-fat focused foods. She says she always makes sure to include everything that she likes in her diet. She also revealed that a lot of ghee was her must-have during her first pregnancy. Healthy fats like ghee are loaded with Omega-3 fatty acids that help in plumping your skin. It also keeps your skin moisturised and supple.
