Moringa is the superfood you need for hair growth

Amidst intense dust, pollution, weather conditions, water quality, and product use, nearly every girl is struggling with hair loss. With excessive use of manufactured haircare products, there comes a time when we always turn to natural ways to aid our hair issues. Amongst tons of options, one such natural superfood still requires light and is being consumed, but not applied. We’re talking about Moringa, which comes from the Moringa oleifera tree and is known for promoting active hair health. Brimming with qualities of vitamins A, C, and zinc, it is easy to use and available in the market. Let’s check out 5 ways to use this superfood for hair growth in summer.

DIY moringa homemade oil

This easy and effective hair oil extracted from fresh moringa leaves harnesses the benefits of protein and nutrients. You will require 3 tablespoons of virgin coconut oil, 2 tablespoons of shea oil and almond oil, 1 teaspoon of castor oil, and moringa powder. Add all the portions mentioned above to a pan and start heating it on a reduced flame. Again, add 1 tablespoon of moringa powder and mix it well. After the oil concoction cools down, transfer it to a container and apply it before shampooing your hair twice a week.

Moringa hair mask as a pre-shampoo treatment

You can use this oil concoction as a pre-shampoo treatment or simply take 2 tablespoons of moringa powder and mix it with 1 teaspoon of oil or 1 cup of water. Add some aloe vera gel or honey and apply this mixture to your scalp and strands. You can do this activity twice a week for the best results. Rinse off your strands with a good shampoo-conditioner combination, and notice less hair fall over the weeks.

For oily-hair girls

The summer season calls for heavy sweating and grease formation on the scalp that can be irritating, leading to dandruff and dust buildup. This blocks the hair cuticles further, making them weak, resulting in hair fall and bald patches. To avoid this, take 2 tablespoons of moringa powder and add 1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar. This hair mask will balance out oil production, reducing dandruff issues. Apple cider vinegar works as an antifungal agent that blocks the creation of dandruff, leading to healthy hair growth.

Hair growth and cleansing mask

Hair masks fortify and enrich the strands, where the moringa oil mixture blended with raw honey can do magic. Consider utilising this moringa powder hair mask recipe as an overall solution for your hair health. Apply the concoction of moringa oil with ⅛ cup of raw honey, or simply take 1 cup of coconut oil, ⅛ cup of moringa powder, and ⅛ cup of raw honey. Mix it thoroughly and ensure even coverage. Cover your hair with a hot towel, and leave this mask on for 10 minutes to see a stunning shine and glaze.

Moringa leaf tea rinse

Brew your morning cup of moringa tea, but instead of consuming it, you can apply it to your scalp and strands. Using a dropper or directly pouring the moringa leaf tea rinse, keep it for 15-20 minutes. Rinse it off with lukewarm water, and enjoy stronger, longer, and shinier hair quality with improved scalp health.
