Use simple ingredients in your kitchen and garden to revive your hair and stop hair fall. Dr Rinky Kapoor, cosmetic dermatologist and dermato-surgeon shares some easy to follow tips...

Amla
This is high in antioxidants and antibacterial. Its exfoliating, and anti-inflammatory properties stimulate hair growth. Mix one tablespoon of amla with lemon juice, massage this mix on your scalp, cover, and let it stay overnight. Shampoo normally in the morning.

Methi
Grind some soaked methi seeds and apply on your hair. Let it stay for 45 minutes before washing. The hormone antecedents in fenugreek make hair stronger and repair damaged hair follicles.

Lemon and rosemary
Mix two tablespoons of warm coconut oil, with the juice of two lemons and one orange.Massage on scalp, cover and shampoo after an hour. This will help control the oiliness on the scalp. People with naturally oily hair should use rosemary extracts to add an extra bounce to dull hair.

MAKE A SCALP SCRUB AT HOME
Make a deep cleaning scrub for your hair by mixing two tablespoons of brown sugar, few drops of lavender oil, half tablespoon of coconut oil, one tablespoon of shampoo and half tablespoon of water. Wash your hair with your regular shampoo and then use this scrub on your scalp, gently massage for five to ten minutes. Rinse with water and condition as normal. If the itchiness and dandruff persist for a long time then you should visit a dermatologist and get a professional hair treatment to correct the problems.
