Want naturally glowing skin?

Everyone wants naturally glowing skin, but expensive skincare products alone cannot promise long-term results. Healthy and glowing skin often reflects what’s happening inside the body. Everything matters, from blood circulation to stress levels, digestion, and our sleep cycle. But if nothing else works, yoga can really make a difference.

How does yoga help in blessing you with glowing skin?

Yoga is not just about flexibility and fitness. Certain yoga asanas improve blood flow, reduce stress hormones, and support detoxification, which improves oxygen supply to the skin. Regular yoga routines combined with proper hydration, nutrition, and sleep can give your skin a fresher and more balanced appearance. Let’s see some yoga asanas that help boost your skin complexion over time.

Bhujangasana (Cobra Pose)

This beginner-friendly backbend pose increases blood circulation and opens up the chest, improving oxygen flow throughout the body. It boosts blood circulation, reduces stress and fatigue, and brightens dull skin. Lie flat on your stomach, place your palms beside your shoulders, and slowly lift your chest while keeping your elbows bent for around 30 seconds.

Sarvangasana (Shoulder Stand)

Often known as the ‘queen of yoga poses', this inversion pose improves blood flow towards the face and supports skin rejuvenation. It improves circulation to facial tissues and supports hormonal balance. Lie on your back, lift your legs and hips upward, support your lower back with your hands, and keep your body straight. However, avoid this pose if you’re pregnant, have high blood pressure, or have neck issues.

Halasana (Plough Pose)

Halasana is a deeply calming inversion that aids in digestion and creates a reduction in stress, which is related to the health of skin. It supports detoxification, calms the nervous system, and reduces acne triggered by stress. From the shoulder-stand position, gently lower your legs behind your head, try to touch the floor with your toes, and hold for a few seconds.

Matsyasana (Fish Pose)

Fish pose stretches the neck and chest area while increasing oxygen intake. It improves oxygen supply, encourages better breathing, and improves skin texture as well. Lie on your back, arching your chest upward. Gently rest the crown of your head on the floor and hold it for 30 seconds.
