Bindi Irwin, Australian conservationist and daughter of late Steve Irwin, recently announced that she has written a new book about the history of her family's conversationist efforts.
Bindi took to Instagram where she posted a few pictures of her family holding the new book. She shared that it took her five years to pen the book about her family's 50-year-old legacy of conservationist works. Titled 'Creating a Conservation Legacy', the book is now available through Australia Zoo's website.
Her post read, "Almost 5 years in the making. Looking through countless archives, Dad’s old journals, Australia Zoo booklets and photographs tucked away in office corners. It’s finally here. I wrote this book to capture the very essence of our extraordinary 50 year history. Now, I’m sharing this journey with you."
The announcement was made on November 15, as the zoo celebrated Steve Irwin Day in memory of Steve Irwin who was best known for his hit-show 'The Crocodile Hunter'. It was Steve who started the family's conservationist works. His sudden death at age 44 due to a sting ray attack while shooting for a show in 2006 had left his family and fans in deep shock.
Meanwhile, Bindi, who is married to Chandler Powell, is expecting their first child together.
