'Wizard of Oz' author L. Frank Baum quotes which hold true even today

American author Lyman Frank Baum is best known for his children's book 'The Wonderful Wizard of Oz' among others. Born on May 15, 1856, Baum wrote 14 novels in the Oz series, 83 short stories, over 200 poems, and roughly 40 scripts and novels during his lifetime. He was ahead of his time-- as he made several attempts to get his works adapted for stage and films but it was only after his death in 1919, that the first Oz book was made into a movie in 1939 and the rest is history. Even after over a hundred years since it was first written, one of his best works 'The Wonderful Wizard of Oz' has been read and watched by many today. L. Frank Baum's stories and poems have filled many people's childhood with magic, fun and life lessons and they would remain to do so for years to come.
