Met Gala is one of America's biggest fashion extravaganzas. Also known as the Met Ball, the event is an annual fundraising gala hosted for the benefit of the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute in New York city.

​The Indian guest

Sudha Reddy, a Hyderabad-based philanthropist and wife of billionaire Megha Krishna Reddy was invited to this year's extravaganiza. In fact, she is the only Indian non-film personality to be gracing the red carpet this year.

According to reports, the billionaire has been invited to the gala as part of her nomination for The Global Gift Empowerment Of Women Award.

​What did she wear?

Sudha stunned in a golden gown by designer duo Falguni Shane Peacock, who made the gown keeping in mind this year's them, "American Independence." Her sequined ensemble featured a four-metre-long train, created to incorporate the colours of the American flag. The outfit also used golden and black as the base.
