Red and golden are two hues that are synonymous with Indian brides and now the colour is not restricted to the brides of northern India, but brides from Kerala, who were once popular for donning the ever-so-popular Kasavu sari in white and a golden border, have now started experimenting. And, no prizes for guessing the red has become a favourite with brides of south India. We came across one such bride from Kerala, who's trending for her beautiful red sari.
We are talking about Gouthami Devan, a pretty lady from Kerala, who wore the most gorgeous red and golden sari by ace couturier Sabyasachi Mukherjee.
Gouthami wore a classic red silk sari from the house of Sabyasachi,w hich she teamed up with a red blouse with floral embroidery.
She accessorised the look with a waist belt or 'Oddiyanam,' a thick broad gold belt with intricate, detailed designs, matha patti and temple jewellery, which included layered necklaces, bangles and rings.
The elegant bride finished off the look with traditional hair gajra, and Gouthami looked no less than a South Indian actress.
Her husband wore a classic off white sherwani and provided the best contrast to his beautiful bride's red ensemble. We loved how the couple worked out their outfits.
