Anushka trades cricket fever

Fresh off the euphoria of RCB’s big win at IPL 2026, the power couple of the season, Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli, traded stadium glam for spiritual serenity, seeking the blessings of Premanand Ji Maharaj in Vrindavan. But it was Anushka’s soft, traditionally rooted ensemble from the label Anavila that stole the spotlight, as she switched her aesthetic gears and thrived in authenticity and elegance. Let’s decode her outfit of the hour.

From IPL highs to holy vibes

Skipping the glitz and glam of her profession, Anushka Sharma opted for a subtle everyday wear traditional ensemble, which looked absolutely comfortable, sophisticated, and breathable during the summer heat. She wore a pastel-pink salwar kameez set featuring a pahani kurta with feminine curved hemlines, slits on the side, cinched cuffs, and full-length sleeves. With a simple Mandarin collar and a V-slit neckline, she allowed the hemline to softly fall on the knees, exuding a subtle finish.

The hit cotton-kurta combo

The breezy pastel pink cotton kurta carried dark pink floral thread-embroidered designs scattered all across the main bodice, which looked absolutely regal. She completed the look with matching Farshi salwar pants with a tapered hemline and a dark pink cotton dupatta with gold thread-embroidered borders. She gently draped it over her head and shoulders, with a tulsi bead necklace, a beaded bracelet, and a no-makeup, straight-simple, open-hair look.

Virat complementing her simplicity

On the other hand, Virat Kohli was seen complementing his wife in a dark brown kurta shirt featuring a round Mandarin collar with front button closures, full sleeves, buttoned cuffs, and a relaxed overall silhouette. He completed the look with beige linen pants, a sharply trimmed beard, a back-swept hairdo, and his power glasses.

Proving quiet luxury looks better than victory glitter

Decked out in traditional ensembles that championed simplicity over spectacle, the duo proved once again that true style doesn’t need sequins and statement pieces, but a deep connection to tradition with simple notes can also look absolutely thriving. In a world obsessed with louder trends, their look felt refreshing and a reminder that sometimes less really does say more.
