Alia Bhatt declares black the new Valentine shade in Rahul Mishra Couture, and red never stood a chance
Every February, things get predictable around Valentine's week, when we see all kinds of shades of red popping up. From red satin slips to roses, dresses, and more, it technically bleeds red everywhere around us. But this year, Alia Bhatt changed the script and came unannounced in sparkling black, which served high drama and no apologies.
With not a hint of scarlet red and any clichés around the edge, she looked poised and all charged up in a stunning Rahul Mishra couture that didn’t even demand attention but simply attained it. Sharing a series of pictures on her Instagram, she gave us a mini life update and set the record straight, looking like a sculpted award in a black frame.
They wore a striking black velvet gown that looked sleek and sculpted, hugging Alia’s body most beautifully. The structured bodice with a scoop neckline detailing just gave more air to the texture and added a sense of depth to the couture.
The scoop neckline, however, stole the show, as it came with two crow-like textured straps, which amplified the look altogether, making the piece perfect for cocktails, date nights, and red carpets as well. This stunning piece is called the Cityscape classic velvet gown, which sat perfectly with a delicate diamond necklace that sat close to Alia’s neckline.
She finished it with a statement yellow diamond solitaire pendant and wore a pair of matching studs that kept things minimal and absolutely refined. Sealing the accessory deal with a bold ring moment, she deliberately kept things sovereign and allowed the signature craftsmanship of Rahul Mishra to take centre stage.
Opting for an all-glam makeup charm, she kept her locks down in soft waves and played with the flashy camera lights, which amplified the sequins to shimmer more. This controlled and cinematic detailing didn’t feel rebellious but absolutely made a statement on Valentine's Day.
It speaks all about romance and sensuality, but with a sharp and confident edge. And Alia, being the epitome and carrier of it, is just the cherry on the cake.
