Ananya Panday’s vibrant Torani Anarkali blends tradition with kaleidoscopic couture
Bollywood’s current heartthrob, Ananya Panday, made a ‘desi’ appearance after a long time, which was meant to make noise, and it sincerely did. Ananya’s fashion aesthetics in traditionals have always featured a soft palette with minimal embroidery notes. This time, however, she took a maximalist turn, where the embroidery and the colour palette stole the show.
Allowing her ensemble to be the centre of attention, she sourced a gorgeous multicoloured Coromandel Naynaa Anarkali by Torani India and added the cultural grace seen at Indian weddings. The ensemble looked like a mehendi costume with contemporary accents, softly taking the traditional form and fitting her perfectly.
This piece from Torani is super exclusive, carrying a hefty price tag of Rs 94,500. The full-length silk and organza fabric ruled the moment; the exquisite craftsmanship looked absolutely marvellous. Giving a fit-and-flare vibe, it featured multiple colour shades printed against the white base and was decorated with sequins, tassel work, colourful digital designs, and hand-applied patterns.
The anarkali’s timeless length and long-fitted sleeves alone stole the show, making the fit perfect for celebratory gatherings and for formal events. She matched its aura with a gorgeous georgette dupatta, priced at Rs 29,500. The stunning multicoloured border added just the right amount of visual appeal and amplified the look in seconds.
The whole set is part of the label’s Chhuttee collection. Next, she accessorised it with silver stone-studded earrings from Shri Paramani Jewels, which softly uplifted the aura even more.
Ananya kept her beauty styling minimal, opting for a dewy base with muted eyeshadow notes, nude lipstick, a kohl eye touch, and soft pink cheeks. She made tight twisted braids from the front and left her hair down from the back into a half-updo.
Stepping away from her usual soft-glam ethnic charm, which is usually in a trending pastel palette, this kaleidoscopic combination is something unique found in her wardrobe. It is all set to become an upcoming trend, as Ananya has always been the epitome of a trend starter amongst the Gen Zs, and this is just another one of her charms.
