For Janhvi Kapoor, Tirumala isn't just another temple visit on the calendar. It's a place she keeps returning to whenever life gives her a reason to pause, reflect or seek blessings.
Over the years, fans have noticed the pattern. Whether she's remembering her mother, the late actress Sridevi, celebrating a personal milestone or marking a big professional moment, Tirumala often finds its way into the story.
So when Peddi released in theatres, it felt almost fitting that Janhvi chose to start the day there.
Photos from the temple soon began circulating online. While many were talking about the film, plenty of people found themselves drawn to something else entirely - her beautiful traditional look.
What made it even more charming was how simple it all started.
Janhvi was first seen making her way up in a pink kurta and salwar, looking comfortable and unassuming. No dramatic styling. No celebrity fuss. Just another devotee making the journey.
Later, inside the temple complex, she changed into a silk saree that instantly stood out.
The saree came in a soft lavender shade with a gentle sheen running through the fabric. It wasn't the kind of outfit that demanded attention from across the room. Instead, it slowly drew you in with its details.
Tiny floral motifs woven across the saree added texture and richness. Threads of muted gold, green and orange ran through the weave, giving it a lovely old-world feel. It looked elegant without trying too hard, which is probably why it worked so well.
The matching blouse was simple and classic, allowing the saree to remain the star of the look.
Then there was the jewellery.
A traditional gold vaddanam cinched her waist, bringing in that unmistakable South Indian touch. Around her neck sat a striking choker adorned with uncut diamonds, rubies and emerald beads. Matching earrings and antique-style bangles completed the look.
Yet somehow, despite all the jewellery, nothing felt overdone.
That's what made the entire appearance so appealing.
Janhvi kept her makeup soft and minimal. Her hair was neatly braided, a small bindi rested on her forehead and her natural features were allowed to shine through. There was no attempt to create a red-carpet moment inside a temple.
And honestly, that restraint made the look even more memorable.
At a time when every celebrity appearance is instantly dissected on social media, this felt refreshingly genuine. It wasn't about creating a viral fashion moment. It felt personal.
A young actress visiting a place that matters deeply to her. A beautiful silk saree. Traditional jewellery. A sense of quiet devotion.
Sometimes that's more powerful than the most elaborate designer outfit.
And judging by the reaction online, people seemed to feel that too.
