The saree was adorned with delicate Turi detailing and a handcrafted pure gold Lampi border, which alone took around 45 hours of meticulous craftsmanship. The saree itself took an additional 28 hours to come to life. That’s over 70 hours of love and labour for one red-carpet moment.

Wait, what is the Lampi technique?
Lampi is an ancient embellishment art often mistaken for gota patti. While gota patti originates in Rajasthan, Lampi is more rooted in Hyderabad. It involves weaving gold, silver, or metallic wires into fabric and embossing it with intricate motifs. The result? A mirror-like, high-shine effect that instantly elevates sarees, lehengas, and dupattas to regal status.
