PV Sindhu shines as gorgeous Sabyasachi bride in a crimson lehenga
The year end is proving to be rather memorable with so many back to back celebrity weddings and one of the most talked-about celebrations was the marriage of Indian badminton champion PV Sindhu and her long-term boyfriend, Venkata Datta Sai, on December 22. The couple’s wedding, held in Udaipur, was an intimate affair, filled with love and tradition. While the bride’s ensemble for the wedding ceremony itself, a champagne-gold saree by Manish Malhotra was stunning, it was her Varmala look that truly stole the show.
For the Varmala ceremony, PV Sindhu opted for a striking crimson red lehenga by the renowned designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee. The lehenga was a masterpiece, crafted with intricate details and luxurious fabric. The ensemble featured a full-sleeved blouse, which was adorned with a golden embroidered border, adding an element of regal elegance. The heavily embellished lehenga skirt featured golden geometrical patterns that were finely woven with thread and zari work, creating a mesmerizing effect. The sheer red dupatta, embroidered with golden polka dots, was neatly tucked into her waist, completing the ethereal bridal look.
PV Sindhu’s jewellery selection was equally breathtaking. She layered on gold and diamond pieces, including a heavy choker necklace, a pair of statement earrings, and a grand maang tikka, which added a touch of grandeur to her attire. Her makeup was flawless, with a smooth base, blush and highlighter that added a glow, and soft, smokey brown eyeshadow. Her lashes were coated with mascara, and her winged eyeliner accentuated her eyes perfectly. The finishing touch was her brown nude lips, which balanced the boldness of her lehenga. Sindhu kept her hair in a sleek low bun, adorned with a delicate gajra, giving her a traditional yet modern bridal look that left everyone in awe.
Her husband, Venkata Datta Sai, complemented her elegance by choosing a warmer, ivory-colored sherwani for the occasion. The sherwani, also from Sabyasachi's groom collection, featured an embroidered jacket and matching pants, offering a refined look that perfectly matched PV Sindhu’s radiant bridal attire.
Together, the couple looked every bit the picture of elegance, their wedding day a blend of tradition, luxury, and timeless beauty. Here's wishing the lovely couple a happily ever after!
