The ongoing 78th Cannes Film Festival saw drama and flair on the red carpet with Indian television personality Shalini Passi’s presence. Following her breakthrough appearance in Netflix’s ‘Fabulous Lives Vs Bollywood Wives’, the Delhi-based art connoisseur became one of the most loved personalities online. Ahead of her red carpet debut at Cannes, she fashionably exuded glam at the French Riviera in a customised pantsuit set crafted by Jade by Monica & Karishma. The ensemble was more than just a fashion choice, as it wove stories of heritage, textures, and threads. Dipped in the grace of black and white with floral motifs all over, the 49-year-old gave the perfect fashion notes we were craving.

For her first Cannes red carpet appearance, Shalini made a powerful fashion statement in a bespoke Fouad Sarkis ensemble. She wore a mermaid-style pink full-length bodycon gown featuring a halter neckline with minimal shimmer detailing around the neckline and a deep, bold cut in the middle. The fitted bodice accentuated her side curves before flaring from her knees and creating a striking illusion.


However, the standout feature of the gown was her over-the-top feathered sleeves pink jacket, which screamed bold drama in every language. She matched her accessory show and opted for a rectangular-shaped Judith Leiber bag, with dainty diamond earrings and a statement bracelet.
