Highlights of Day 1 of Chandigarh Times Fashion Week 2022

Times Fashion Week held its first Chandigarh chapter this weekend and it opened to a full house. Chandigarh's first fashion extravaganza, Chandigarh Times Fashion Week 2022 kickstarted on October 29, 2022 with a grand display of design and creativity. The two-day long fashion show attempts to showcase some promising talent along with some industry veterans, showcasing their best designs and craft on the ramp. Here's a look at some highlights from Day 1 of the fashion showcase.

The day 1 of the fashion showcase opened with an impressive show by talented students of IIFD, one of the leading design institutes of the country. The collection highlighted the amalgamation of style and wardrobe essentials sparked with a competitive edge. It defined powerful women who deserve powerful places. This collection focused on placing importance on luxury essentials and providing women with a complete modern wardrobe - contemporary, sophisticated and effortless.

Students of CGC Jhanjeri, put up an inspiring show, using effects of natural dyes and macramé. The fabric selected for the collection was glace cotton, muslin however the fusion patterns of the dresses showcased the seasoning of Indian and western silhouette.

Overall, the elegance of the theme showed the actual fusion of Indian and western culture and the craft of macramé. The show attempted to revive the macramé crafts by giving it a modern twist. Combination of natural dyes, cotton fabric and these crafts gave an artistic look to the collection.
