Ugliest, expensive, and uncomfortable

The trend of unconventional sneakers has taken over the market sparking debate in the fashion industry for several years. Challenging the traditional standards of a conventional sneaker look and comfort, brands have tried to express their individuality, and given to the fashion fads. However, quite a few of these unconventional sneakers look ugly and are priced at expensive rates and are often very uncomfortable to be worn on an everyday basis. Frequently seen in fashion magazines and rarely on the streets, these are the 5 sneakers you may want to keep safe distance from.

Adidas JS Bones Jeremy Scott Flintstones

Released with Jeremy Scott’s signature JS Bones silhouette in collaboration with Adidas, these pairs seem to be a wild approach featuring exotic leopard print with ugly bones on the front. The laces mainly incorporate three removable bones whereas the high-top construction has a line of teal leather with sturdy canvas. It also includes various Adidas logos with an enlarged trefoil branding around the tongue which makes the whole shoe absurd and out of place.

Nike Air Foamposite Shoe

It was an expected release from Nike which left the brand lovers in awe. These Foamposite sneakers look like they are attached to a jumpsuit with an interesting blend of colours. Many people indeed rushed to the stores to buy these pairs, but they turned out to be uncomfortable to walk with no breathable range, and came in a weird design. These pairs were the first of their kind with polyurethane liquid which was heated and molded to create this snugly fit.

Adidas Kobe ll White

One of the most bizarre sneakers released in history at an unbelievable price, the design and comfort were a disgrace on the brand’s face which ended up canceling the production of the sneakers. It looked more like a horse hoof and was released in four shades i.e. white, grey, silver, and black. With a strong sturdiness and grip, the outer layer of the pair was leather with a comfortable sole, but because of the suede and canvas base, these shoes were not light in weight, making them ugly, expensive, and not comfortable at all.

Jeremy Scott Covers Adidas Originals’ Superstar Shoe

This money design with a weird combination of colours is a total waste of money, according to sneakerheads. The unattractive design with an ugly touch by Adidas is a complete letdown. Jeremy Scott and Adidas first came together in 2003 and since then they have continuously brought wild releases every year exploring upside-down designs and challenging the fashion police. Their money print with a signature 100 dollar bill stands out because of its rubber shell toe with a hard uncomfortable heel tab.

Reebok Preacher

These are real sneakers released by Reebok and were worn by Shaquille O’Neal in 1996 at the Atlanta Olympics. Older sneakerheads might fall into nostalgia, but the rest of us are happy that these pairs have left us in the past. With a weird shape and design, these pairs had an Instapump chamber with lateral hexalite detailing. The translucent outsole side view of the Reebok Preacher looks like shark teeth and is only suitable for narrow feet. Released in two shades, black and white primarily, the brand recently discontinued its production which is a good sign.

What uncomfortable shoes do to your feet?

Uncomfortable shoes often result in several foot problems, including blisters, calluses, and bunions, as well as aggravated pre-existing conditions, such as plantar fasciitis. Constrictive shoes squeeze on the toes and can force the natural shape of the foot into a flexed, arched and also heel-pained curvature. Over time, the misuse of ill-fitting shoes can lead to misalignment in the body's entire lower segment. This can cause problems in the knees and back areas, besides making blood stop flowing, swelling, and even numbness in certain areas. The final effect of all this is a critical impact that negates comfort for the comfort of fitting.

How to know if the shoes are worth buying?

When buying shoes, a person should first try the shoes with his or her socks to ensure that they are comfortable and then walk around a little bit in the store to see if there are parts that hurt or feel tight. Make sure that the toe box is roomy enough for you to spread out your toes and also that it has an appropriate support for your arch. It is also very important to consider the shoe's weight; the lighter it is, the less cumbersome it will be when you wear it for a long time. Lastly, bend the shoe a little if possible; a flexible shoe bends and does not feel stiff.

Some shoes can also give you a shoe bite
