The aura of red bridal couture

Indian brides have traditionally been seen in shades of red, a color deeply rooted in cultural significance. While current trends featuring pastels, pinks, and golds have gained popularity in recent years, the regal red bridal look remains a timeless classic. The richness of red continues to tell a unique and enduring story, with many celebrities and iconic Indian brides still choosing this bold hue for their wedding day. In 2024, while the conversation around wedding fashion evolved, only a select few brides opted for the striking shade of red. Let’s take a closer look at some celebrity brides this year who chose red wedding couture for their big day.

Aditi Rao Hydari

For her wedding, Aditi Rao Hydari picked the colour red and wore a minimal yet unique Sabyasachi lehenga. She opted for a high round neckline, full sleeves blouse with a flared heavily embellished lehenga. The top of the lehenga simply had an empty show, with multi-layered intricate golden detailing on the bottom with hints of red, golden, and black backdrop. She completed the show with a matching plain red dupatta and looked like a dream.
