How to improve libido with foods?

Did you know that being physically and emotionally healthy is one of the most important factors in life that keeps us happy? And it's not just the good diet, having a healthy sexual life is also linked to being physically and emotionally healthy. Recently, Dr Rekha Radhamony, who is popularly known as the 4th generation Ayurvedic Medicine Doctor and juggles between India and Dubai for her work commitments shared a post on her Instagram handle, where she disclosed some of the foods that can help exceptionally when it comes to sexual health. She captioned her post as, “Especially after COVID, I have seen many patients complaining of low sexual health and libido. Sex is one of the three main pillars of health (after food and sleep) according to Ayurveda. Instead of running behind supplements, try having food that enhances Agni, so that your body will be able to absorb all the nutrients from the food itself. Try these foods to help improve libido and sexual health.”

Pomegranate

According to Dr Rekha, it is one fruit that can improve the quality of reproductive fluids if consumed daily. Not just that, but it can also improve the chances of conceiving. This is because pomegranates are rich in polyphenols, which are compounds associated with decreased risk of high blood pressure, heart disease, and stroke. They’re also thought to relax blood vessels and increase the delivery of blood to the brain and heart.
