Side effects of common foods

When it comes to common kitchen ingredients, spices, condiments, and ready-to-eat foods are often discussed. While we are so used to them in our daily diet, we forget that they can be harmful and unhealthy too. Excess of anything is bad, and the same rule applies for foods as well. Dimple Jangda, a wellness and nutrition expert, recently addressed the issue on Instagram and explained about five of the most common foods that are a part of our daily diet and how their excessive consumption can lead to various health issues. Sugar

In the post Dimple has mentioned that sugar makes the organs fat. It increases the risk of diabetes type 1, type 2, cholesterol, alzheimer's, insomnia, amnesia, destroys your gut bacteria, also causes hormonal imbalances, insulin resistance.
What to do: Mix it with equal quantities of olive oil, coconut oil and use it as a lip scrub to get rid of dead skin cells. One can also use it all over your face as well. It's an excellent exfoliator.

Coffee

As per Dimple, it is one of the most overrated products in our kitchen. It leads to restlessness, anxiety, shakiness, nervous debility, dry colon, long-term constipation symptoms, vata imbalances and energy spike and energy crash which can lead to irritability, snappiness and mood swings.
What to do: Mix it with either water or coconut oil and use it to scrub on your body to get rid of cellulite and excess water and dimple skin.

Carbonated drinks

Next in the list is carbonated drinks. As per Dimple, just a 12 ounce drink contains almost 39 grams of sugar. Tooth decay, gum withdrawals, obesity, diabetes, cholesterol, colorectal cancer risk, rising belly fat, heart health issues, stroke are some of their common side effects. They also lead to hormonal imbalances and insulin resistance.
What to do: Use pepsi and coke to clear difficult to wash away stains from your washbasin, toilets or any part of the house, she suggests in the post.

Apple Cider Vinegar

As per her post, while everybody has been going gaga over the use of apple cider vinegar on how it prevents sugar spikes but its over abuse can actually erode the mucus lining of your gut walls leading to burning sensation, acidity, reflux, burning sensation in your throat. It can also cause erosion of your teeth and loss of bone density.
What to do: One can dilute apple cider vinegar in some water and do a final rinse for your scalp. It helps in preventing dandruff and any scalp related issues. You can also mix apple cider vinegar with baking soda to cleanse mold in your house.

Instant Noodles

It is mentioned in the post that noodles are such a sturdy material that they don't get dissolved in water, and don't get digested, absorbed or assimilated easily. It can stain the gut for three to seven days causing a whole lot of health issues like fatty liver, bad cholesterol health issues, bad heart health issues, strokes, seizures, epilepsy and such diseases.
What to do: It's best to use these instant noodles for arts and crafts for your children because it's such a sturdy material. You can paint on it. You can make arts and crafts and last for several weeks and even months.
