Uses of sandwich maker no one told you about

When it comes to the kitchen, it is a creative space with no boundaries. From innovative dishes to interesting cooking techniques, you can do everything here. All you need to do is be a little mindful and the opportunities are endless. For instance, have you ever thought about what all you can do with a regular sandwich grill? Well, you can actually do a lot. In a recent reel on Instagram, MasterChef Pankaj Bhadouria shared five different ways of using a sandwich grill beyond making sandwiches. Take a look.

Grill paneer tikka and soya chaap

Yes, this might sound surprising, but you can actually grill your paneer tikka and soya chaap in the sandwich maker or grill. All you need to do is marinate paneer or soya pieces in curd and spice mixture, fix them to a skewer and then place them on a greased and preheated sandwich maker. Once it is charred on one side, flip and follow the same process and within minutes, your tikka and chaap will be ready!

3/6

Roast stuffed vegetables

Forget the kadhai and oven and get going with the grill. To make this, simply slit veggies like eggplant, okra, or bitter gourd. Stuff them with a mixture of roasted and ground coriander, cumin, fennel, onion, chaat masala and salt. Brush some mustard oil on them and roast in a preheated sandwich maker and your no-fuss roasted stuffed veggies are ready. Enjoy with rice and dal.

4/6

Make Waffles

Combine all-purpose flour, milk, sugar, baking soda, and vanilla essence. Give the batter a good mix, brush the sandwich maker with some butter, pour the batter, cover and cook. Once the waffle is ready, rotate it 90 degrees to get the ideal criss-cross waffle marks. Once ready, enjoy with whipped cream and fruits of your choice.

5/6

Cook hash browns

If you are a hash brown lover, you can now make crispy hash browns in a sandwich grill too. All you need to do is squeeze out the water from grated potatoes, and add salt, pepper, butter, and corn flour to it. Give it a good mix and shape the mixture into hash browns. Now, grill them in a butter-greased sandwich grill and your perfect and crispy hash browns are ready. Enjoy!

6/6

Stuffed Parathas

You can also make stuffed parathas using the regular sandwich grill. Simply stuff the dough with the filling of your choice and roll out a rectangular paratha. Cook it in a preheated sandwich grill using enough oil or ghee and enjoy with curd and pickle.
