Overnight oats recipes that will be the perfect breakfast pick

Always running late in the morning and end up skipping breakfast? Well, breakfast is the most important meal of the day and should not be skipped at any cost. After a long spell of fasting, our body needs something filling and nutritious as breakfast in the morning. Morning meal should always contain something nutritious and fresh, instead of processed and oily foods. If you don’t have any time in the morning to make yourself breakfast, then overnight oats are here for your rescue. You can make an oats mixture the previous night, let it set in the fridge and enjoy the instant breakfast in the morning without wasting a minute. ​Blueberry Oats

Ingredients- ½ cup rolled oats, ½ cup blueberries, ¾ cup skimmed milk, ½ tsp vanilla extract, 2 tbsp honey and 1 tsp chia seeds.

Method-

  • In a bowl, add rolled oats, skimmed milk, vanilla extract, chia seeds and honey. Give a mix.
  • Now add blueberries and mix gently.
  • Pour this mixture into a jar or glass bowl and set in the fridge.
  • Let the oats sit overnight and enjoy them the next morning.

​Apple Honey Oats

Ingredients- ½ cup rolled oats, ½ apple, ¾ cup skimmed milk, 2 tbsp maple syrup, ¼ tsp cinnamon powder, 1 tbsp chopped walnuts and 1 pinch salt.

Method-

  • Firstly, peel the apple and grate it. You can also chop it into very small pieces.
  • In a bowl, mix oats, milk, maple syrup, cinnamon powder and pinch of salt.
  • Add this mixture to a glass jar or bowl and set in the fridge.
  • The next morning, garnish with chopped walnuts before serving.

​Chocolate Banana Oats

Ingredients- ½ banana, ½ cup rolled oats, ¾ cup skimmed milk, 1 tbsp cocoa powder, 1 tbsp sliced almonds, 1 tsp chia seeds and 2 tbsp honey.

Method-

  • In a bowl, add roughly chopped banana and honey.
  • Now use a fork to mash it really well.
  • Add rolled oats, skimmed milk, cocoa powder and chia seeds. Mix well to combine all the ingredients.
  • Pour the mixture into a jar or glass bowl.
  • Refrigerate the oats overnight and garnish with sliced almonds the next morning before serving.

​Pineapple Oats

Ingredients- ½ cup rolled oats, ¾ cup skimmed milk, 1 tbsp chia seeds, 1 tbsp desiccated coconut, ½ cup chopped pineapple pieces, 4-5 cashews and 1 tbsp honey.

Method-

  • In a bowl add rolled oats, skimmed milk, chia seeds, desiccated coconut and honey.
  • Give a good mix.
  • Now add pineapple pieces and transfer this mixture into a glass jar/bowl.
  • Let the oats sit in the fridge overnight or for at least 5-6 hours.
  • The next morning, garnish with crushed cashews and serve.

​Strawberry Oats

Ingredients- ½ cup rolled oats, ¾ cup skimmed milk, ½ cup chopped strawberries, 1 tsp chia seeds, ½ tsp vanilla extract, 1 tbsp raisins and 1 tbsp honey.

Method-

  • In a bowl, mix rolled oats, milk, chia seeds, vanilla extract and honey. Give a mix.
  • Finely chop the strawberries and add them to the mixture.
  • Transfer the mixture to a glass jar/bowl and slide in the fridge.
  • Let the oats sit overnight and serve them the next morning by garnishing it with raisins.

​Peanut Butter and Jam Oats

Ingredients- ½ cup rolled oats, 2 tbsp peanut butter, 2 tbsp mixed fruit jam, ½ cup skimmed milk, 1 tbsp crushed mixed nuts and a pinch of salt.

Method-

  • In a bowl, mix rolled oats, milk and salt.
  • Now add peanut butter and jam to the bowl. Mix again.
  • Pour the oats mixture into a glass jar or bowl and let it sit in the fridge overnight.
  • Serve the next morning by garnishing with crushed nuts.
