South Indian banana varieties

This variety is also called Palayankodan and is a small fragrant variety common in Tamil Nadu and Kerala. It has a pleasant tangy-sweet flavor and is often used in traditional offerings and desserts.

Also known as Rasakadali, this variety is famous in Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh and is known for its rich aroma and creamy texture. It’s sweeter than most varieties and often served as a dessert fruit.
