In the age of capsules and tablets, Ayurvedic herbs sound no less than magic. As per experts, nature offers a healing touch for every ailment, and Ayurveda believes that for every imbalance, there’s a specific herb ready to restore harmony. Dimple Jangda, a health and wellness expert, in a recent post on Instagram addressed this issue and talked about the magic of herbs and mentioned that centuries-old Ayurvedic wisdom highlights remedies like Neem for skin concerns, Tulsi for immunity, Ashwagandha for stress, and Triphala for digestion. According to Dimple, each herb is uniquely matched to address the root cause of disease, not just the symptoms, helping the body achieve long-lasting wellness. In her post, she talked about some of the lesser-known and time-tested botanicals and Ayurvedic herbs that nurture and support wellness from within.


But before we proceed, as per Dimple, it is important to consult an Ayurvedic doctor before adding these herbs in your daily routine, get the diagnosis done, find out what your unique body type is, find out what imbalances you have and only then consume herbs. Let us proceed.

Ashwagandha

If you want to improve strength, vitality, fertility, then you need an adaptogenic herb called Ashwagandha, that also reduces your stress, improves diabetic health, sleep and immunity.


How to consume: It can be consumed in the powdered form along with warm milk or water.

Guduchi

As per Dimple, this herb helps boost your immunity. It has anti-inflammatory, antibacterial benefits and also boosts your immunity against common coughs and colds.


How to consume: It can be consumed as a juice, or one can take it as a powder with warm water or honey, or as prescribed by an expert.

Shatavari


In order to improve your hormonal health, you need shatavari, which also helps in balancing vata-pitta imbalances. It is also great for lactating mothers, informs Dimple.



How to consume: It comes in churan or powder form that can be added to warm milk or water. One can add ghee for added nourishment. Make sure to check with an expert, before adding it to daily routine.

Brahmi

If you want to improve your brain health, think of brahmi. It is one of the most important herbs that improves cognitive health. It can be given to children during the growing years as well, states Dimple.


How to consume: One can mix the powder to warm milk or water or ghee. It can be consumed in the form of juice as well, or as prescribed.

Manjistha

If you have bronchial health issues, cold, cough, and sinus, then you need Manjistha, which helps in liquefying the mucus, and the toxins in the body, states Dimple.


How to consume: One can mix the powder with warm water, honey or aloe vera juice for maximum benefits.

Gokshura

In the post, she has explained that those who need to boost their urinary health and want to get rid of uric acid, they need something that is diuretic in nature and helps in flushing out all of it from the kidneys. The answer to all these issues is Gokshura, it has anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, antiviral properties and helps reduce inflammation.



How to consume: It can be mixed as powder with warm milk, water, or honey for added nourishment.

Guggul

As per Dimple, if you have inflammation, arthritis, and thyroid, then you can have Guggul. It is a potent herb that helps improve your ability to fight these autoimmune disorders.


How to consume: It can be consumed as a churan with warm water or honey. It is also consumed with with triphala for added benefits, or as prescribed.

Gond Katira

It is the solution for those who are suffering from constipation. It is great for relieving constipation symptoms and also helps in preventing mouth ulcers, says Dimple.


How to consume: As per Dimple, chew a few pieces of gond katira or one can fry them in ghee, add in water, boil and then drink that water for added benefits.
