Atmanirbhar Bharat: Do you know these brands are 100 pc Swadeshi

As Prime Minister Narendra Modi hinted that a 4.0 version of lockdown with different set of rules and regulations will soon be announced in light of the Corona virus epidemic, he also spoke at length about making India ‘Atmanirbhar’ or self -independent. He announced a whopping Rs 20 lakh crore package towards making India self-reliant. He termed it “Mission Self Reliant India.” This huge amount will be infused, in a planned manner into the economy to promote the growth and development of indigenous industries so that the dependence on foreign investment and goods is reduced significantly. While promoting Swadeshi or home grown industries has always been the country’s motto, but the opening up of economy in the 1990s led to rampant globalisation and marketization with a huge number of foreign companies making inroads into the country. While it did have its own benefits for the economy, self-reliance is always what any country or economy should aim at.
