Called as ‘Eggplant Leather Masks’, these masks are made by treating eggplant skins. If reports are to be believed, he uses salting, dehydrating and underwater cooking as techniques to create leather-like sustainable material, which is further used to make these masks.

In a statement he has mentioned to the media that the trend of sustainable luxury is there in everyone's mind, so he decided to design leather using eggplant peel by preserving them. The preserved peels are recyclable and can be further used for fashion purposes.

Omar is working with Jordanian designers to turn his innovation into sustainable fashion. The local designers are helping in stitching the masks and Princess Nejla Asem, who happens to be a jewelry designer, is helping him in adding embellishment to these masks.

Isn’t it innovative and cool? Would you like to try these masks? Let us know in the comment section below.
