Easy Paneer Kofta Recipe

Paneer Kofta is a comforting and nourishing paneer dish that goes well with roti and rice too. One can also stuff the koftas with mawa and nuts to make it royal and delicious. Here, we have mentioned the simplest Paneer Kofta recipe that one can make at home and enjoy.

Ingredients



1 cup grated paneer, 2 tbsp boiled mashed potato, 1 tbsp cornflour, 1 green chilli, 1 tsp ginger paste, salt to taste, 1 tbsp chopped coriander, oil for frying, 2 tbsp oil or ghee, 1 tsp cumin seeds, 2 dried red chillies, 1 large onion, 2 tomatoes, 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste, ½ tsp turmeric powder, 1 tsp red chilli powder, 1 tsp coriander powder, ½ tsp garam masala, 2 tbsp fresh cream, and salt to taste

First of all, grate the paneer in a deep mixing bowl.

Also, wash and chop all the veggies and set them aside.

To the paneer bowl, add mashed potato, cornflour, green chilli, ginger paste, coriander, and salt. Mix well to make a smooth dough.

Shape the dough into small smooth balls and deep fry them in oil until golden brown. Set them aside on a paper towel.

For the gravy, add some more oil to the same kadhai or pan and add Sauté onions until golden. Add cumin and dried red chilies.

Next, add ginger-garlic paste, then tomato puree and spices. Cook until oil separates and then add cream. Bring it to a boil.

Now, add 1/5 cups of water and salt. Bring it to a boil, add koftas and simmer for 5 minutes. Garnish with coriander leaves and enjoy with rice or roti.
