Why Sadhguru swears by these superfoods

Ganji


He suggests consuming Ganji, a multigrain health drink mix that can be made with jowar (sorghum millet), bajra (pearl millet), ragi (finger millet), wheat, rice, fried gram, green gram (moong dal), groundnut, cardamom, cloves, and dried ginger, and soya bean. According to him, use of groundnut makes it the best source of nutrition, when soaked overnight. It also uses green gram, which is high in soluble fiber and is good for digestion. And bajra helps with strengthening the body. Ragi is a rich source of calcium and iron, which gives energy and use of spices like cardamom, cloves, and ginger help with nutrient absorption. According to Sadhguru, it sits in your stomach in a certain way, and it follows a slow-release energy process.

Groundnut and banana


Soaking a handful of groundnuts overnight and one banana works as the ultimate energy booster, According to Sadhguru, it is a complete meal by itself. He says, " If you soak it for over 6-8 hours, it takes away certain aspects, which are called pitta. He suggests making a shake of soaked ground nuts, banana, and honey and it will keep you full for 4-6 hours and keep you energetic as well. According to experts, protein content in soaked groundnuts aids muscle building and repair, which is important for sustained physical energy and stamina. Also, soaked groundnuts contain B vitamins such as niacin, which play a key role in cellular energy production and brain function, enhancing mental and physical energy. Groundnuts also contain monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats that help lower bad cholesterol (LDL) and support heart health.

Sesame Seeds and Coconut

He calls sesame a very high-energy thing. In the video, he explained that roasted sesame seeds and roasted coconut makes for a high-protein and high energy combo that he swears by. According to a study as well, sesame seeds contain sesamin and sesamolin, lignans with potent antioxidant properties that help regulate lipid metabolism and improve mitochondrial function, which is crucial for energy production at the cellular level. The high content of healthy fats, protein, and fiber in sesame seeds helps maintain steady energy by stabilizing blood sugar levels and supporting fat metabolism, which prevents sudden energy crashes.
