South Korean student eats a banana worth Rs 1 crore; Here’s what happened next

As per studies, hunger often results in weird human behaviour, and sometimes people lose their sense of judgement, when hunger hits the nervous system. And that is the reason, in the present time, people call such situations "Hangry", which is made with two words, "hungry" and "angry." A recent incident came to light on social media, where a hungry student ended up eating an artwork worth Rs 1 crore. Scroll down to learn more about it.

As per a report by the BBC, the incident took place at the Leeum Museum of Art in South Korea, where an artwork of a banana duct-taped to a wall, by Maurizio Cattelan was on display as a part of his exhibition "WE".



During the day of the exhibition, a hungry art student decided to eat the banana and attach its peel to the wall. What made it news was the price of the artwork, which is estimated to be $120,000 (Rs 1 crore).

As per reports, the student identified as Noh Huyn-soo was hungry as he had skipped breakfast, and the moment he saw the banana, he decided to eat it, without giving it a thought that it was a part of the exhibition. Take a look at the video.



As per the video, the student is seen walking up to the artwork, taking the banana off the wall, and enjoying it. He later pastes the peel with duct tape and walks away.

As per Noh Huyn-soo, who studies at the Seoul National University, "Damaging an artwork could also be seen as an artwork, I thought that would be interesting... Isn't it taped there to be eaten?"

Interestingly, when the artist was informed about the incident, he said, "No problem at all."

This isn’t the first time a person has eaten banana art. In December 2019, a man ate a banana worth $120,000 taped to the wall at a Miami art exhibition!
