What do Hindus believe?

According to experts, when Lord Shiva and Maa Pravati were walking in the valley, Parvati dropped one of the manis (precious stones ) and when he could find the jewel, he got angry, and an appeal was made before the serpent god, Sheshnag, to pacify Lord Shiva. Sheshnag hissed, thereby giving rise to a flow of boiling water. (Image: Instagram/rahulandniki)
