Pathikrit Saha aka Roll Kaku, is a Zomato Executive from Kolkata

Meet Pathikrit Saha aka Roll Kaku, a Zomato Executive from Kolkata who is breaking the internet with his noble act of serving cancelled order to hungry kids in the neighbouring areas. Pathikrit, who also runs his own non-profit NGO called ‘Help Foundation’, keeps arranging feasts for the kids, for whom he is like an elder brother. (Image: Facebook)

Why he serves them?

It all started four years ago, when he came across a teenage boy who was addicted to drugs and was begging on the streets. He realized that something needed to be done to make the lives of such kids beautiful. While giving them free lessons in the evening, he came to know about the hunger problem that prevailed in the society and that gave him the idea of utilizing the cancelled order food. What actually he does?

Technically, when a customer cancels the order, the delivery guys are instructed to either return the food or take it home. While most delivery guys take the food home, Pathikrit takes the food to feed the underprivileged children living in the Dum Dum Cantonment Railway Station, Kolkata, area that often includes dishes like egg rolls, biryani, chicken rolls and more. He believes that feeding hungry kids is no less than a bliss and now with time, he is like an elder brother to those kids and it’s his responsibility to take care of them. And the kids, out of love call him Roll Kaku. (Image: Facebook)

Verdict

Pathikrit Sahas’s act is a perfect example of humanity and the need for selfless care towards society. We hope this will inspire many others to do a bit beyond the calculation of profit and loss.
