Staying fit and maintaining fitness levels is one of the pre-requisites in the glamour world. However, actor Taha Shah Badussha who has been a part of films like Baar Baar Dekho, Gippi, Luv Ka The End believes that one needs to stay fit physically as well as mentally. For Taha mental fitness is as important as physical fitness. Taha says, “A fit body is a fit mind.
Along with my physical fitness, I ensure that I keep my mind fit by constantly learning something new. Be it learning a new instrument, a new language, or solving puzzles, our brain needs stimulation to keep it active. I also believe that if someone is facing any sort of issue they must talk it out, can be friends, family, or a third person who can help you. It is pivotal that people understand that it’s okay to be vulnerable, to cry, and let it out irrespective of gender. Mental and emotional strength is vital to have a healthy body.”
Talking about how the pandemic changed his perception about fitness he says, “It made me realise the importance of overall fitness and that can be done with limited resources. The entire experience changed my perspective about fitness, the importance of family, friends, and loved ones. I used every item available at home, from chairs to stairs to train myself.”
So what’s his fitness routine like now? “I believe in not keeping my fitness routine monotonous. Be it my dance rehearsals, practicing taekwondo, or gymnastics I keep innovating. This takes care of the cardio. In the evening I pump some weights or change it up to some calisthenics and free weight training.”
Besides his upcoming web show, the actor is working on a few projects. “I’m doing a Hollywood project next. It is a story based in Cold War America and I have shot for it. Along with this, I have a few interesting projects lined up.”
