Pumpkin seeds keep the heart healthy in multiple ways. While their antioxidants and nutrients have a positive impact on the heart, a 2011 study published in Climacteric found that women consuming 2g of pumpkin seed oil every day for 12 weeks increased HDL cholesterol by 16% and decreased diastolic blood pressure by 7%.
