Heart disease builds itself in the body over months and years

Heart disease is not a disorder that happens all of a sudden in the body. This disease builds itself over months and years. By the time it becomes visible, it might have already overpowered the entire health system. It is therefore said that ailments of the heart are silent killers.

However, there are certain signs and symptoms which though seem common but actually have connection to heart health.

There are several indicators which if noticed and taken care of at the early stages can save the heart and extend its longevity for many years.

Here are few signs of heart disease which are visible on skin:

2/7

Net pattern

If you notice a bluish or purple color pattern, like a messy net, on your skin you should consult a doctor. Do not ignore it assuming it to be an infection or rash, instead take action immediately.

This net like pattern appears due to a health complication called cholesterol embolization syndrome, which happens when the arteries block.

3/7

Yellow growths on skin

Many people have yellowish or orange-ish deposits like plaques just underneath their skin. These deposits are mostly seen in the corners of the eyes, and in the back of the lower legs.

These deposits are painless, which is why these signs get missed very easily.

However, this condition urgently requires you to get your cholesterol level checked and bring it under control.

4/7

Wax bumps

Heavy deposition of fats which look like wax from outside are a serious indicator that your cholesterol level is on the higher side.

In its initial stage, it might look like a rash.

Health experts say this type of formation underneath skin is mainly due to extremely high levels of triglycerides.

5/7

Round and spherical shaped nails

Medically known as clubbing nails, this type of change in the shape of the nails is linked to higher levels of cholesterol. These types of abnormalities in nails are also seen in lung diseases and heart complications.

6/7

Reddish lines on nail bed

Formation of reddish and purple lines on the nail beds are a clear indication that something is not right inside your body.

Nails are the indicators of several body ailments including heart disease.

If off late you have noticed certain abnormalities in your nails or if your nails do not look like it was before you should not take it lightly and consult doctors immediately.

7/7

Painful lumps

Painful lumps in the fingers, toes that last for several days without any reason might be giving you the hint that your cholesterol level has crossed its limits.

While many lumps go on their own, recurrence of the lumps should not be taken lightly.
