Many couples opt for unprotected sex, if they are doing it for the first time because they believe that the chances of getting pregnant in the first time is zero.


This is the biggest myth. If you are not looking forward to getting pregnant and having babies it is advisable to avoid having unprotected sex.

​You can only conceive for few days​


This is not true. The fertile window in women can last up to 6 days. Another reason why this myth should be avoided is that the sperm can live for up to 5 days.


Therefore, it is imperative to use condoms during sexual intercourse.

​Sex during periods can not make pregnant​


While on one hand it is sad to know that many couples believe this, medical science says there is a possibility that you can get pregnant during menstruation.


Use protection if you are having sex during periods.

The fact is that during pregnancy sex drive skyrockets in many women.


Health experts say many women experience a surge in sexual desire during the second trimester.

Orgasms can cause miscarriage


Do you believe this?


Women experience stronger sexual urges during pregnancy and hence orgasms are frequent too. But there is link between orgasm and miscarriage. Infact the contractions during orgasm are completely different from that of labour.


But if you have a history of miscarriages, you should seek your doctor's opinion.
