Man lives 8 years after terminal brain cancer diagnosis, defies odds
It's been 8 years since Matt Henry has been diagnosed with terminal brain cancer. While doctors told him that he only had a couple of days left, a miracle seems to have changed everything. Henry has been battling with the tumor lodged in his brain for the past 8 years and he mentioned that he was so grateful for still being around his six children for almost a decade.
Matt Henry took part in a study conducted by the University of California San Diego in 2020 and his symptoms have improved. He traveled across the country in the past few years in a renovated school bus along with his family and luck has struck him hard and he is doing well. Matt has been on a fight-or-flight reflex for years now and is pushing through his buttons almost every day.
Matt's tumour is still lodged in his brain bringing uncertainty over his life, but nothing has stopped him in the past 8 years to live the best days of life. With the New Year's, Matt made a special resolution stating that he would ride 365 waves over this year. Matt is a surfer and shares his avid interest in the watersport, he said that he has been feeling better and better every day.
Sharing Matt's story, Harvard Medical School Boston expert Dr Katherine D McManus mentioned a superfood that can lower the risk of cancer. Sharing in a blog. McManus wrote that the superfood one requires need not be specific, just that it should be packed with vitamins and minerals.
Certain foods reduce inflammation, and oxidative stress and protect from exposure to harmful compounds thus helping you keep away tumor cells. She added that nuts, leafy greens, yogurts, olive oil, and tomatoes are all foods that can slash cancer risk.

Broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage, kale, brussels sprouts, blueberries, strawberries, blackberries, tomatoes, spinach, arugula, orange, lemon, grapefruit, oats, quinoa, brown rice, legumes, walnuts, flaxseed, chia seed, salmon, mackerel, turmeric, garlic, and onion.
