When you feel dizzy it is advisable to sit or lie down. "Avoid things that can make your symptoms worse, such as sudden movement, bright lights, watching television or reading. Try to focus on an object that isn't moving," says MayoClinic, and recommends not to get back to normal work immediately. Resting for a while helps the brain adjust the signals.
