Mud Therapy: The Rx for your mind and body
The trending mud therapy, also known as a mud bath, is a therapeutic spa treatment that involves soaking in a bath of warm mud, often in a natural hot spring or geothermal pool. The mud used in mud baths is usually a combination of natural mineral-rich clay and water, which is heated to a comfortable temperature. Celebs’ interest in the therapy has brought the spotlight on it, further popularising its use and benefits. As per experts, mud therapy is believed to have various benefits, including increasing blood flow, stimulating the immune system, detoxifying the body, easing muscle pain and tension, and promoting healthy skin. In recent times, actors like Akshay Kumar, Tiger Shroff, Urvashi Rautela, Alaya F and Manushi Chhillar have posted photos of themselves indulging in this therapy and having a great time.
