We all incessantly worry about the right way of bringing up our kids. A lot of parents believe that praising their kids help them perform well and also make them smarter, but there is a study-backed research that suggests something else.

Researchers at the University of Auckland recommend that kids need short intervals of high intensity activities to boost their brain power.

The researchers studied 318 kids in the age group of 7 to 13. Some were randomly put in a controlled group and others were put through high intensity interval training. The second group was made to engage in 10-minute workouts every day for 6 weeks.

The kids were assigned memory and cognitive tasks and it was observed that those who were put through HIIT workouts performed really well.

The point is to make sure they break into a sweat. Researcher Dr David Moreau said, "Our study highlights the importance of short and intense physical workouts to improve brain power."
