The UNFPA India Ageing Report 2023 highlights that by 2050, seniors will comprise 22% of the global population, with India witnessing a sharp rise in its elderly demographic, projected to reach 347 million (20.8% of the total population). Meanwhile, Deloitte estimates that senior citizens’ spending in India will exceed USD 1 trillion by 2030.
