Yoga postures to relieve period cramps

We often come across exercises we can do to relieve cramps during our periods. But the bummer is that they are far away from doable. When our stomachs feel like on a run riot, it is impossible to even think of doing postures that involve turning into a noose or a camel. So, here we have three yoga postures you can do like a plain sailing and they do sure help lessen cramps quite a deal.
2/4

Vajrasana or The Thunderbolt Pose

Kneel on the mat with your toes touching and heels separated. Sit on your heels and place your hands on your thighs. Relax your mind and focus on your breath. Do this for five minutes.
This will alter the blood flow in your pelvic region, strengthening the muscles and relieving menstrual disorders.
3/4

Supta Baddha Konasana or The Reclining Goddess

Lie down with the soles of your feet touching each other and knees falling on the sides. If it makes you uncomfortable, you can place pillows below your knees. Hold on for two minutes.
This relaxes your body and improves psycho-physiological system.
4/4

Shashankasana or The Hare Pose

Start by sitting in Vajrasana. Inhale and lift your arms overhead. Exhale and bend forward and bring your chest against your knees and arms and forehead to the floor. Repeat this for three to five times.
It stretches your back and tones your pelvic muscles, lessening cramps. It also relieves constipation and soothes your mind.
