Happy Women’s Day: 7 weight loss tips to lose belly fat

Being a woman can often make you feel like you have no time for yourself because you are constantly juggling work and home. While taking care of others, we women often forget about our health. And because health is wealth, so, this women’s day let’s take a pledge to stay healthy and get rid of those extra kilos by following these extra simple weight loss tips.

Belly fat is the most stubborn fat. Though working out is considered as one of the key strategies to lose weight, there are many other factors that can affect your efforts in getting that perfectly toned body.

2/7

Eat breakfast regularly

Not just one but several studies have proven that people who eat breakfast regularly are more likely to drop kilos and maintain it than those who often skip breakfast. Having a healthy breakfast gives a kick-start to a healthy and happy day. So, doesn’t matter if you getting late for a meeting, do not skip your breakfast for a leaner and fitter body.

3/7

Say yes to protein

A high protein diet can help in reducing belly fat effectively. Protein is one of the most important nutrients required to lose weight and gain muscle mass. Protein helps in boosting metabolism, reducing appetite and increase the feeling satiety.

4/7

Have more fibre

One of the best strategies to get rid of belly fat is including more fibre in your diet. Fibre improves digestion, keeps you fuller for longer and reduces calorie consumption. All of this ultimately results in successful weight loss. Fibre helps in slowing the emptying of the stomach.

5/7

Water

The minimal effort one can do to be healthy and lose weight is drink enough water. Studies show drinking enough water can help burn more calories. Drinking a glass of water before every meal can decrease the calorie intake and increase weight loss. It is important to stay hydrated because thirst is often misunderstood for hunger.

6/7

Walk

Nothing revs up your metabolism like being physically active does. If you find it difficult to take out time for the gym, you can take a stroll in the park. Regular walks have also shown to improve mood, promote weight loss, manage conditions like heart disease, high blood pressure and diabetes. Make sure to get your body moving every day not just for weight loss for but for overall well being.

7/7

Sleep

Not getting proper sleep can affect your body systems in a negative way. Insufficient sleep can increase the risk of weight gain, heart diseases and Type 2 diabetes. What food is to stomach, sleep is to the brain. Studies have found that dieters who cut back on sleep, lost 55 per cent less weight as compared to the ones who had an adequate amount of sleep along with dieting. Maintain a regular sleep schedule and get a good night’s sleep each day. Remember small changes result in big differences.
