Home remedies are the best for weight loss. In comparison to supermarket sold weight loss foods, it is beneficial both biologically and economically to use home remedies to cut down extra weight.

What makes home remedies more attractive is that they do not give harmful side effects, they cost less so if anything doesn't suit you can stop it immediately, and finally they are plentily available; you do not have to go to any particular place to buy these.

So what are the common home remedies for weight loss?

​Lemon water with honey

The most common ingredients found in the kitchen are lemon and honey. Surprisingly, these are as effective as any other branded product for losing weight. Its preparation is also easy. One needs a small glass of warm water, a quarter of lemon and one tablespoon of honey to begin with. This should be taken regularly without any break for effective results. Lemon and honey are known to detox the digestive system.

​Sattu

Another overlooked ingredient in our households is sattu. This coarse powder of roasted chana dal invokes nostalgia, no doubt but not many of us consider using it on a regular basis. Often linked with traditionalism, sattu is only sought after when there is any occasion to eat it.

Sattu is rich in fibers, which is the ideal candidate for weight loss. Low in calories and high in fibers makes sattu the undefeatable warrior in your weight loss journey. It is filling and is extremely healthy considering its only composed of chana dal, in its purest form.

​Raita

We all love having Indian yogurt or raita with our lunch. But how many of us actually know its health benefits? Apart from the extremely unique taste it holds, many of us don't know much about the myriad health factors raita has.

Raita aids digestion and metabolism, which are two good signs for speedy weight loss. Raita contains good bacteria which are essential for maintaining good gut health.

The most fascinating thing about raita is, it can be prepared with easily available seasonal vegetables and also fruits. You can have lauki raita, boondi raita, or even cucumber raita.

Cumin or jeera is not unknown to us, but what is unknown is the health benefit it offers. Jeera water is said to be a good tonic to lose weight. Drinking water having jeera soaked in it overnight, is very good for gut health and aids loss of weight.

Ajwain
