Vastu Expert Dr Raviraj Ahirrao, shares a few Vastu Tips

We are all aware how important are the initial few years for any child. It helps them in their overall development and creates a foundation for the child’s mental and physical growth for years to come. Apart from taking all necessary steps advised by the Pediatricians, parents can take the help of our age old Indic science of Vastu Shastra to create an environment full of positive energy which can go a long way in helping a child grow. Vastu Expert Dr Raviraj Ahirrao, shares a few Vastu Tips that parents can keep in mind while designing their new born’s room.

Sun rays are important

The most important aspect of a child’s room is the fact that it should receive ample sunlight, especially the early morning sun rays. Apart from ushering in a lot of positive energy, the morning sun rays kill most of the germs in the baby’s room.

The sleeping arrangement

The sleeping arrangement for infants should strictly be in the northeast region. The North, North-east and East regions are ideal for an infant’s bedroom.
5/11

The crib

The crib should be 2 to 3 feet away from the wall and it should be placed in the exact south-west of the room.
While sleeping the child’s head should be towards the south or west direction.
6/11

Peaceful sleep is important

While sleeping the child’s head should be towards the south or west direction.
7/11

Maintain balance

Proper balance in the North west region of the house which is associated with the air element helps prevent respiratory problems in infants.
8/11

The magic of rock salt

Having raw or rock salt in the infant’s room helps to absorb negative energies. However, this salt should be replaced very frequently.
9/11

Pay attention to the colours

Dark and heavy colours should be avoided and special attention should be given that the child’s room should be contain soft, light and vibrant colours. Even toys the child plays with should be in light and vibrant colours.
10/11

Mental growth is important

Pictures or images depicting scenes of peace, spirituality and motivation should be placed in the child’s room. This will help to develop their mind accordingly. Paintings of sunflower in particular activate the pituitary gland thereby helping in mental growth.
11/11

The parental warmth

Through Vastushastra parents can provide an additional support in the overall development of their children. It can only be provided when the harmony and coordination between the parents is at its best. Children especially infants are highly sensitive and susceptible to energies so it is very important to have a positive environment and surrounding all around.
