Vastu tips for placing plants and flowers in your home

Flowers and plants add sophistication and an alluring fragrance to your home. Most people absolutely love flowers as they are a symbol of care and love. While decorating our home, we often leave spaces for artefacts and décor; however, what better way to decorate than showcase your favourite flowers? Plants not only do wonders for the scent in the room but have a significant role in deciding your energies. This is where Vastu comes into play; we can achieve a balance between energies and our personalities. And so, here are a few things to keep in mind while placing flower vases in your home.

2/6

Basil

Basil commonly known as Tulsi, is considered holy in Indian households. It has several medical benefits along with regulating the flow of energy in your home. Always plant Tulsi in the North direction or East of your house to attract good luck and wealth. Never leave it in the dark in the evening; always light a diya or bulb near the plant. You can place Tulsi in the garden or a small pot in the pooja room.

3/6

Jasmine

An evergreen white-flowered plant with a unique fragrance is a must for your home. It is famously known as the “moonlight of the garden” because of its beautiful tiny white flowers. People wear it in their hair, offer it to Lord Shiva, treat skin problems with it. It has a calming effect when placed in the right direction and helps release stress—plant jasmine in the area of ample sunlight in the East direction.

4/6

Lilies

Lilies are a perfect indoor plant to purify the air. Lilies are low-maintenance plants with a low requirement for sunlight. You can place them in your living room or bedroom to attract mental peace and harmony. You can also set a vase in the centre of the dining table to attract positive energies and make strong bonds. Remember to place white lilies rather than pink ones.

5/6

Vines

Many of us love the climbing plants or vines that make the crown shape in front of our entrance. However, make sure the vines have their support to hold or a wooden stick to climb. You can plant climbers in the balcony and front garden to attract wealth. Money plants or Golden photos plants are best suited for Indian households. Make sure the vine grows upwards and doesn’t use any other tree for support.

6/6

Bonsais

Our eyes love bonsai plants, but it isn’t considered good as per Vastu. Vastu experts believe whatever is done against nature isn’t good for us. The roots and branches of big trees are chemicalized and aren’t sold in their true nature. You may attract negative energies while placing bonsai in your home and office.
