Karoline Leavitt shares sweet news: “I am so excited to be a girl mom!”
White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt announced the happy news that she is expecting her second child. She revealed she is set to welcome a baby girl through a social media post.
In the post, she shared, “The greatest Christmas gift we could ever ask for: a baby girl coming in May 2026. My husband and I are thrilled to grow our family and can’t wait to watch our son become a big brother. My heart is overflowing with gratitude to God for the blessing of motherhood, which I truly believe is the closest thing to Heaven on Earth. I am also extremely grateful to President Trump and our Chief of Staff Susie Wiles for their support, and for fostering a pro-family environment in the White House. 2026 is going to be a great year, and I am so excited to be a girl mom.”
Leavitt made the announcement through her social media on Friday with a number of photos emanating love and emotion. In one of the photos, Leavitt appeared wearing a white sweater dress and standing in front of a Christmas tree with her hands set on her baby bump. She was seen with her husband, Nick, and their son, Nico, born in July 2024.
She also expressed her thanks along with her photographs for the support she is getting at her workplace. Leavitt thanked President Donald Trump, President of America, and White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles for making a supportive, family-centered environment.
With hope and excitement for the future, Leavitt exclaims, “Oh, 2026 is already promising to be an extraordinary year, and I get to be a mother to a daughter!”
According to Fox News Digital, quoting a senior official from the White House, Leavitt will continue serving as press secretary while pregnant. According to the same publication, this will be a historical moment for Leavitt to set, as she will be the first pregnant press secretary for the White House. Leavitt is only 28 years old; thus, this is not the only historical milestone that she has broken, because she is also the youngest person ever to hold this position.
Leavitt has been married since January, just weeks before the second inaugural address of President Trump, ushering in a stormy period for the young press secretary.
