Here are the heartfelt experiences shared by parents

Here are five heartfelt, first-person accounts from parents reflecting on the key principles they followed to raise successful children. Each story is filled with warmth, experience, and wisdom, offering relatable insights for anyone interested in positive parenting:

"We valued curiosity than grades": Tanya and Abhinav Shukla

"One thing I’m truly proud of is how we nurtured our children’s natural curiosity. From a young age, we encouraged them to ask questions and explore the world around them. Whenever our son asked, ‘Why is the sky blue?’ or ‘How do planes stay up?’ we’d either find the answer together or take him to the library. We didn’t just value grades; we valued curiosity itself. I believe this instilled a love of learning that stuck with him. Today, he’s in a career he’s passionate about, constantly learning and growing. He’s not just working for a paycheck; he genuinely loves what he does. This, I think, has been one of our biggest successes as parents."

"We taught our kid empathy and compassion": Kritika and Aravind Gupta

"We wanted our kids to grow up not only successful but kind and empathetic. We involved them in service projects from a young age, volunteering at shelters, helping neighbors, and visiting elderly relatives. We also made sure to have open conversations about people’s struggles and the importance of giving back. I’ll never forget when our daughter, at just 10 years old, decided to organize a small fundraiser for her class to support a local animal shelter. She spent hours making handmade bracelets to sell, all on her own initiative. Watching her genuine compassion made me feel we were on the right path. Now, she’s grown and successful, but more importantly, she’s known for her kindness and integrity. I believe empathy has been a cornerstone of her personal and professional success."

"Hand holding and spoon feeding is not just our parenting style": Ridhima Mishra

"One of our core principles was to give our kid the freedom to make choices and learn from his own mistakes. We encouraged him to take responsibility for his actions from an early age. If he wanted to take up a new hobby, like piano or basketball, we’d let him try it, but we always reminded him that they needed to see it through, at least for a while, before quitting. We allowed him to handle his own school projects, manage his homework, and even deal with small conflicts on his own. When our son wanted to run a small business at 13, we supported him but left the work entirely to him. He learned so much about responsibility and commitment, and now, as an adult, he knows he can handle challenges independently. Watching him make thoughtful, responsible decisions gives me confidence that we gave him a strong foundation."

5/6

"We were always open minded about our child’s companionship": Smriti and Sharad Saxena

As parents we insisted that our child make friends with all and did not care about background and differences. We insisted on being kind, empathetic, and open-minded and on respect, teaching them that building friendships on respect is great. Time passed by, and we could see our child more confident and socially aware, effortlessly connecting with classmates and showing compassion toward others. It helped them understand different perspectives and value diverse personalities. Our child has blossomed in all facets of his personality: being thoughful, inclusive, and positive. We are proud of the kind of person this mindset has developed him to be at school and outside of school.

"Waking up early helped our daughter a lot": Ankita and Mayank Trivedi

As parents, we noticed a remarkable change when we encouraged our child to wake up early. Initially, mornings were rushed, but once we established a routine, it made a huge difference. Waking up early gave our child quiet time to focus without distractions. She could study, revise, and complete homework peacefully. This habit built discipline and consistency, allowing better time management. As a result, our child started retaining information better and tackling assignments with more clarity. This consistent early morning routine, along with proper rest, helped improve her concentration and, eventually, her marks in exams. It was truly transformative.
