How to raise your kids to be mentally strong; Psychiatrist shares his take
Parents often want to raise mentally strong kids but don’t really know how to. Their love towards their children leads them to solve their problems and make their lives easier. However, this wouldn’t really help the parents in raising a mentally strong child. It is important to let the kid solve their own problems and learn from them. A popular psychiatrist on Instagram named Daniel G. Amen has shared his take on the same giving out some suggestions to raise strong kids.
He took to his Instagram handle and shared a video giving a brief on how to raise mentally strong children. He said, “If you want to raise mentally strong kids, you will have to let them solve their own problems. The more you solve for them, the less competent they become. So if you want to raise mentally strong kids, you can't do too much for them. So when they bring you a problem, your response could be, Wow, you're so smart. What do you think we should do about it? And don't give your two cents until you've made them think about it.”

However, this can lead them to be sensetive individuals, who don’t necessarily know how to solve their own problems.
Helping your child isn’t a problem but not letting them think through or giving them enough time to solve their own thing could be. Giving your child all the support they need but before them ask them what they think about the problem and if they tried fixing it on their own.
Once kids learn to do so, their problem-solving skills improving and it is one life skill that not many teach. Help your child while they are young so that they become strong individuals as they grow older.
