Aishwarya and her mini me

Superstar Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and daughter Aaradhya are mostly seen hand-in-hand, and undoubtedly, is one of the cutest mother-daughter duo.

Many also see a mini Aishwarya Rai in the making when Aaradhya Bachchan steps out. Over the years, Aaradhya has got a fan following of her own. She is also her family's darling child and her mother's favourite companion.

Why Aishwarya always keeps Aaradhya close to her

While keeping their little one close and protecting them from danger is something every mother or father wants, Aishwarya, who is often seen taking her baby girl with her most of the times has received criticism, with many calling her 'overprotective' for doing the same. However, the actress and former beauty queen has a rather surprising and emotional reason for shadowing her daughter all the time. This is something which will resonate with a lot of parents.

Aishwarya's parenting style

In the interview, when the actress was asked about the same, she said that even if Aaradhya might be used to the limelight, her priority as a mom is to keep her safe and secure:

“Aaradhya has seen it (the limelight) since birth and I would like to think she is used to it. At one point when we were walking, she was in a great mood, even as people clicked pictures. She was laughing and saying something funny. But when Aaradhya saw these people (photographers) coming, she just wanted to stop in her tracks and squatted on the floor. I knew it was time for me to pick her up. I just wanted everyone to be safe, including my child."

Mama knows the best!

"When people started caving in, I had to pick her up because she is too tiny to handle all that. I had to steer my way through the crowd. It is just a protective instinct, I keep her close.”

Doesn't this just melt your hearts?

Keeping Aaradhya safe

Ensuring a normal childhood

Celebrity children might grow up with a lot of luxuries and amenities as compared to other children but it doesn't mean life is always breezy and fair for them. This is something which a lot of other celebrity parents have also spoken about in the past. Many also continue to maintain strict privacy around their children's lives.

Aishwarya's take on juggling work and family

Aishwarya is also a hands-on mother and has spoken up about the same several times. She also likes to pick and drop her daughter to school, go on playdates and juggle between commitments like many mothers! As she said, after giving birth, everything else came secondary to her.

8/9

What Aishwarya has to say:

"I spend all my time with Aaradhya, and I have one nanny, by choice. I read comments saying, "Ah, she must have an army of help" and I understand the perception, but I choose this way, which means life is always busy."

"Of course, after Aaradhya my priorities have changed completely. She comes first, everything else is secondary."

9/9

The one life lesson she wants to impart...

Like a lot of parents, Aishwarya is keen on passing on the legacy and traditions to her growing eight-year-old. Apart from this, she also wants her daughter to grow up with a positive state of mind and stay grounded always. In an interview earlier, Aishwarya said:

"I'm a firm believer of the state of mind… to keep your head above a high level of water, every day. That's something I'm imparting to Aaradhya - that B positive is not just a blood group and that everything in life is a learning curve. Experience life in the moment, because you're going to have to live with your experience."
