Here is a marital issue that many face

Query: My wife keeps telling me that I am worth nothing and her life has been ruined after marrying me. What should I do to make her feel that she is lucky to have married me? How do I improve my married life?

2/5

Response by Expert Dr Rachna Khanna Singh

I am sorry to hear that you are going through such situations, it's a really good step on ur part to take the initiative to look into the issues. Some steps that can help you could be :

1. Communication is key: Open and honest communication is essential in any relationship. Talk to your wife about her concerns and feelings, and listen to her perspective. Encourage her to share her thoughts and feelings without judgment.

2. Self-improvement: Focus on personal growth and self-improvement to become the best partner you can be. This might include improving your communication skills, empathy, and understanding.

3/5

Show appreciation

Express your love and appreciation for your wife. Small gestures, acts of kindness, and regular affirmations of your love can go a long way in improving the relationship.

Be patient

Changing the dynamics of a marriage takes time and effort from both partners. Be patient with the process and each other.

4/5

Assess the relationship

Reflect on the overall health of your marriage. Are there underlying issues that need to be addressed, such as trust, respect, or compatibility? Identifying these issues can help you work on them together.

5/5

Seek professional help

If the issues in your marriage are deep-seated and causing significant distress, consider couples counseling or therapy. A trained therapist can help facilitate constructive conversations and provide guidance on improving the relationship.

Remember that improving a marriage is a joint effort. It's essential for both partners to be committed to making positive changes and seeking help if necessary. If the situation is difficult, consider seeking guidance from a marriage counselor or therapist to work through your challenges.
